Gap measuring device
The newly developed gap measuring device works with a tactile sensor that can be inserted into narrow gaps down to less than 0.5 mm. It thus replaces feeler gauges and spies in a wide range of applications where previously only qualitative tests could be carried out. This eliminates the need for lengthy probing to determine quantitative measurement values.
A simple measurement with the specially manufactured gap measurement sensor is sufficient to determine the exact gap width. The gapMaster also serves as a replacement for optical measuring methods where, for example, the surface condition or the position of the gap leads to difficulties in the measurement.
