Gap measuring device
gapMaster®
The newly developed measuring device works with a tactile sensor that can be inserted into narrow gaps down to less than 0.5 mm. It thus replaces feeler gauges and spies in a wide range of applications where previously only qualitative tests could be carried out and quantitative measured values had to be determined by lengthy approach.
Compared to capacitive and optical gap measuring methods, the gapMaster® offers decisive advantages. On the one hand, its measuring lance can penetrate into very deep, optically inaccessible gaps, and on the other hand it is independent of the test specimen material due to tactile measurement with very low measuring forces. These features make the gapMaster® a superior gap measuring instrument in many fields of application.
For measurements on fans and turbines, the gapMaster® offers special sensors that can be used to quickly and accurately measure gaps between the rotor and housing with a repeatability of up to 0.01 mm. In the automotive sector, too, the interchangeable gap sensor is designed differently depending on the application, so that every measuring task can be solved optimally.
